Gathering the flowers
Gathering the flowers
Your bag is empty
Get well flowers delivered across Melbourne's western suburbs, including to Footscray Hospital and Sunshine Hospital. Check with the ward before you order: intensive care, coronary care and some oncology units refuse flowers outright. If in doubt, send them to the house for when the patient gets home.

Most general wards take flowers, but intensive care, coronary care and a number of oncology units do not accept them at all, usually on infection-control grounds. Ring the ward directly rather than the switchboard, and ask before you order. It takes two minutes and saves the flowers coming back to us.
Small, in a vase, low-scented. Bedside tables are about the size of a dinner plate and nurses have to work around whatever is on them. A big hand-tie that needs a vase somebody has to go and find is a burden rather than a gift. Lilies are worth avoiding in a shared room because the scent carries.
Discharge dates move constantly, and flowers delivered to a ward on the day someone leaves get abandoned there. Sending to the house means they arrive to something when they walk back in, which is usually the better moment anyway.
Yes, both are inside our delivery area. Give us the ward name and the patient's full name in the special instructions. Ring the ward first to confirm it accepts flowers, because several do not.
Intensive care and coronary care almost never do, and many oncology and maternity units do not either. It is an infection-control rule and it varies between sites, so ask the ward directly.
Something small in its own vase, with little scent. Bedside space is tight and strong perfume is unwelcome in a shared room. Skip lilies for that reason.
We deliver across Highpoint, Maribyrnong & Melbourne's Western Suburbs, same day when you order by 1pm. Delivery areas and fees.
